Who Is Rachael and Why Is She Here?
Hey new friend! I'm Rachael and I help women balance business, relationships & family with the right diet, proper exercise and self-care so they can love the skin they're in and boost their confidence, success and happiness.
My clients come to be busy, stressed and frustrated with their health and body looking for a solution. They know they'll burn out if they don't take care of themselves, but something always gets in their way whenever they try.
My coaching eliminates their health blocks (sabotages, bad habits and resistance) and find the time for themselves without sacrificing their business, family or hustle. I coach them through their health blocks to not only build healthy habits that work for their lifestyle, but also turn them into long-lasting behaviors so they can stop struggling with the same problem and feel confident, sexy and love the skin they're in.
A big part of a lack of self-care is a drive to do more, be more and have more. Nothing ever seems or feels enough. And while drive, intensity and work ethic are wonderful qualities in anyone, most of the time it doesn't leave room for self-care, self-love or acceptance.
so what ends up happening?
The job you love starts to drain you.
Spending time with friends and family stops being fun.
Your body starts to feel stiff and uncomfortable.
Food and alcohol become your escape.
And you live each day with the sense that "you're not doing enough".
Which fuels you to work harder, longer and better than anyone else.
Your health nose dives off a cliff.
And now you're stuck wondering how you got here in the first place.
So then where are you?
- Frustrated at how you look and feel.
- Ashamed that you let it go this far unchecked.
- Guilty about taking time for yourself.
- & Overwhelmed at the thought adding anything to your plate.
And I’ll be honest with you, I’ve been there too!
I used to bed ridden from chronic pain and I needed my mom to not only drive me to college, but push me in a wheelchair to my classes. I internalized my perfectionism, my intensity and my sense that "I couldn't do enough" to the point that I turned to sugar, caffeine and carbs to lighten my mood and stress. This caused internal inflammation and physical pain day in and day out.
It turns out that I had some bad habits that needed to change.
- Too much sugar.
- Internalized stress.
- Imbalanced eating patterns.
- Inconsistent exercise.
- Caffeine addiction.
- Irregular sleep.
- The belief that I would never be enough.
- & No way to kick out bad habits and make new ones.
I didn't think there were ever enough hours in the day to get it all done. And I thought that working with a coach was going to be a laundry list of to-do’s.
But it turns out that it was actually much deeper than that.
I had all these reasons around why taking care of myself wasn't important and I had built sabotages, bad habits and resistance around ever changing it. (Even if I thought I wanted to, I didn't actually want to).
My coaching reveals why self-care isn't on your schedule.
Together we find what’s stopping you, kick it to the curb and watch you come out a free and empowered individual. That's why i have signature coaching programs to help you.
So you don’t have to live guilty about your choices, hating your body and fearing your future.
"Since working with Rachael I can now look at myself in the mirror without judgment. I have made my working out a routine and I don’t work out for weight loss but it’s for my movement, flexibility, and preventing age – I want to work out, it’s like brushing my teeth."
— Dara, 90 Day Program Graduate
My fork in the road when it came to my health was when I was on 4 different kinds of medication. Two anti-depressants, an anti-inflammatory, and a sleeping pill.
I felt awful, angry, scared, tired and spent every day running around in my mind wondering how in the world I could ever be happy or find someone to love my special brand of hot mess.
I realized that modern medicine wasn’t working for me and I wanted to try a different approach.
I wanted to heal my body with my lifestyle. But I knew I needed help. I needed people to look up to, to guide me, to coach me and to challenge me when I wanted to crawl back into bed and hide from the world.
and learning from a coach gave me the tools i needed to really understand why it was all happening in the first place.
Once I knew why it was happening, I could take empowered action to change it.
I'm a certified Health and Life Coach and I continue to improve my knowledge and expand my coaching tool belt. I’m a life-long learner and have daily geek outs about my coaching research and learning.
I also love to get outside as much as possible. Skiing in Mammoth in the winter, Paddle Boarding in the summer and biking along the Esplinade at the beach are just some of the fun ways that I nourish my own soul. I’m always down to listen to some country, classic or current, and doing brunch on the weekends.
I’m so glad you’re here at Healthy Introvert because we’re in this together!
Getting healthy doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen.
